In this work composed of two parts, the gudgeon and the ruffe reveal the mixing zone of the waters which is the estuary, where freshwater and saltwater fish meet.
Born in 1962 – France
Between sculpture-object, assemblage, photography and ready-made, Olivier Leroi develops a multiform work whose themes are born from an instinctive experience of the field. This experience is also expressed in participatory works such as the action that consisted in making the first snow fall in Mali or the introduction of a water molecule in the Loire River. Co-organized with high school students, this last project made it possible to follow an Argos beacon from the sources of the Loire to Mexico. Souffles was inspired by this experiment.
