Ondes consists of three large black plastic waste containers filled with water. Loudspeakers inside the containers transmit a vibration creating a rhythmic movement of the water surface. The surface vibrates, forming waves that meet and draw figures.

Over the last twenty years or so, Laurent Faulon’s artistic research has developed around different themes – such as the role of the body in our society and culture, Western consumerism, the individual and the collective -, while borrowing a wide variety of mediums: sculpture, installation, sound device, photo, video, 16mm film, performance. Whatever the medium chosen, water remains a recurring material in the artist’s work. He lives and works in Geneva and teaches at the Annecy School of Art.
