A German-Congolese duo based in Strasbourg, Huguette Tolinga and Philipp Kuhn come together to rediscover their own folkloric roots: zebola music and the waltz. While the swirling European dance is well-known in these parts, zebola is a ritual of dance and female spirit possession regarded as a traditional form of psychotherapy. Built upon the legacy of our ancestors, we live, we sing, we dance, and we heal. Firmly committed to keeping their roots alive, this percussion and bandoneon duo shares and passes down this knowledge in a spirit of infectious celebration in the beautiful gardens of the Fondation François Schneider in Wattwiller!
Presented by Météo as part of Après la Pluie (After the Rain), a traveling festival for adventurous music, in partnership with the Fondation François Schneider.
