The Festival Météo Mulhouse and the François Schneider Foundation present :
PERRINE BOUREL & MOSIN KAWA
Perrine Bourel : violin / Mosin Kawa : tablas, singing

Following a meeting during the festival of violin of the world in Luzy in Morvan, Perrine Bourel and Mosin Kawa see the birth of a new project in duet. Perrine Bourel is the bearer of an almost forgotten music of fiddlers from the Southern Alps and the Dauphiné. Mosin Kawa is the holder of an oral musical tradition that has been passed down for 7 generations in his family from Rajasthan (Gokulpura). The genesis of this project was born from Perrine’s fascination for the tabla and Mosin’s fascination for the violin. These two complex instruments have a rich and nuanced sound palette. They allow for a subtle, precise and thorough exploration of sound: this is where the two musicians wish to dialogue and play, around pieces from their respective repertoires as well as composed and improvised pieces.
